Service Summary

Medication:

Any medication will be stored in a locked cabinet, box or closet in compliance with State codes. Staff on duty will assist you with taking medications as prescribed and packed by the pharmacy.

 

Counseling services:

The house supervisor will meet with you as you request to talk about any concerns or problems you may be having. The supervisor will encourage problem-solving skills. Referrals will be made to other professionals as appropriate.

 

Transitional services:

These include community awareness, self-advocacy, community mobility, budgeting skills and safety awareness.

The purpose is to further promote independence.

 

Personal care services:

You will be assisted with personal care as needed. Staff will teach you how to take care of your basic needs and daily living skills, if able, again to promote independence.

Transportation services:

For activities and appointments, staff will assist you in using various transportation services. If you have ideas or suggestions as to things you want to do or places you want to go, just tell the staff.

Money management:

You will receive a monthly/weekly stipend to cover personal items as needed. Amounts vary on a case-by-case basis. The house manager can lock cash in a safe box if needed. The Secretary will keep funds in an account for residents, unless the resident has a legal representative payee handling their funds.
